Dobroshrift 2.0
is a unique typeface created by children with cerebral palsy.
Task: to develop a typeface for a charity project.
Dobroshrift is a charity project aimed at helping children with cerebral palsy. A large group of children took part in creating the typeface: they wrote letters and symbols in special notebooks and samples of their handwriting became the basis for the unique typeface, symbolizing unity and support.
The studio turned the letters into a typeface with many glyphs in light and bold styles.
Imitating “live” handwriting
The appearance of letters changes automatically depending on their position in a word. Several alternatives were created for each grapheme which are alternated depending on the neighboring symbols and their groups.
The system imitates the random and chaotic character of handwriting.
