Larionov's Lessons website for the Tretyakov Gallery

Overview
Task:
to design an educational website.
An exhibition of the artist and Russian avant-garde pioneer Mikhail Larionov takes place at the Tretyakov Gallery. A website with interactive games, tests and highly artistic stickers was created for the exhibition at the studio.
The website introduces visitors to Larionov’s biography and major milestones of his work. Larionov tried himself in different artistic styles including Impressionism, Primitivism, Rayonism and Futurism.

Each period is represented by its own block on the website with each block containing major artwork of the period, a test or a game related to art.
The Primitivism section shows major series of paintings.
Visitors can send one of the pictures as an electronic postcard or an invitation to visit the exhibition.
A postcard with the Triumphant Muse suits well for flirting

Or download the majestic Telegram stickers.

The style of the text on the website resembles the typeface that Larionov used in the design of his books and illustrations.

Larionov created a new painting style, Rayonism. We created a game that helps transform any photo into a Rayonist picture.
Larionov also invented futuristic makeup: he proposed painting faces as a way for art to make its way into real life.
Using a web camera visitors can try on the makeup and see themselves as prominent Futurists.
Dynamic scenery was created for the Theater section.
All paintings, photos and posters used on the website are available in the Materials section.

At the end is a hint that the exhibition at the Tretyakov Gallery is worth visiting in person.
