The making of the Soundchain logo
Client: Innovative blockchain technologies using smart contracts. We like to call ourselves Wikipedia for music. We would like to be associated with blockchain and blockchain startups traditionally employ images of blocks, chains, peering networks, decentralization, openness and open source. At the same time, we’re about music, and this is important.
Graphic elements: blocks, chains, peering networks in combination with a music element but to ensure we differ favorably from Soundcloud, Mixcloud, Bitport, Spotify and Deezer.
By the way, blockchain is not essential for us, first of all we’re about music, but if you can come up with an elegant solution to combine these two themes, that would be great. So, blockchain images are not paramount for us. Right now it’s only a trend in financial technology projects. By the way, we’re not only about music but also finances, since one of the services we offer is licensing music for commercial use. Which is why we would like to see some sort of a reference to that in the guidelines. Our licenses are similar to open Creative Commons licenses, only with a layer of smart contracts on top.
