The elevator cab produced by the Serpukhov Elevator Manufacturing Plant is a complex multifunctional system at the intersection of art and technology. It features several screens, internal and external lighting and an interactive control panel. To ensure that all these functions provide maximum benefit, a set of interaction scenarios between the elevator and passengers in various situations was meticulously developed in Art. Lebedev Studio.
The lighting in the elevator lobby is useful in several situations: it uses a gradient to indicate from which side the elevator will arrive and signals when the doors are closing. The color also shows whether the elevator is in independent operation mode or is out of order.
The interior cabin lighting indicates the direction of movement, complementing the pleasant animation of floor changes on the screens.
Messages are animated according to a universal template that works for any type of information, allowing quick and easy updates of text and graphics.
Special attention is paid to seamless transitions between different states of elements. One such example is the emergency stop of the elevator: a delicate message appears on the internal screen, the lighting color turns warm, all buttons on the panel fade except for the dispatcher call, while the lighting and screen in the lobby inform passengers of the breakdown.
To make implementation easier, all scenarios are laid out in clear animated charts.
