Cab Panel Scenarios

Elevator control panel concept for Serpukhov Elevator Manufacturing Plant

For the cutting-edge products of the Serpukhov Elevator Manufacturing Plant, we designed a control panel that is installed in elevator cabs and delights users with its beauty and convenience.

The buttons have a smooth superellipse shape—tactile interaction with them is far more pleasant than with standard square or round buttons. Even more enjoyment is provided by the slight indentation in the center of the buttons and the material they are made from. The indentation is specifically designed to prevent dust and dirt from accumulating, while the special plastic used ensures that no fingerprints are left behind.

Each button contains eight colored LEDs, offering virtually unlimited possibilities for different usage scenarios.

The buttons are arranged in an elegant and intuitive grid. The most important button—the first floor—stretches across the entire row. On one hand, this creates a necessary additional accent and on the other hand, it serves as a clear separator between above-ground and underground floors.

Thanks to the thoughtfully designed structure and layout, the buttons can be easily arranged for any number of floors.

Typically, the distance between buttons is uniform, which makes it difficult to discern the order. We reconsidered and increased the spacing between rows—this allows the user to quickly grasp the logic and orientation.

The specially designed icon set continues the overall style of the panel and perfectly complements the floor markings.
