The making of the Sign in Orsk
Orsk is an industrial city, famous for its prairies and jasper deposits.
Art director: Not quite. Smoking chimneys were a good metaphor for industry in the 1920s, today the idea is totally different.
Making another approach based on the idea of industry, adding variants mentioning archaeology and prairies.
Art director: The prairies, go with the first one.
Designer: I’ve added slight gradients and streaks, the final result is both about jasper and the prairies.
