Art director: Not quite.
Designer: I learned that there is Degtyarev factory in Kovrov which for a long time produced machine guns. So I made a pattern with machine gun bullets.
Art director: Will the residents get it?
Designer: In fact, a local resident asked me to make the pattern based on this theme. Though he asked for motorcycles and machine guns, but I thought they would be too complex and obvious for a sign pattern. So I chose the machine gun bullet: it’s recognizable, graphic and symbolic.
Art director: Let’s make a pattern out of motorcycles and machine guns.
Designer: I used exactly what they produce.
