Characteristics Mechanism Movement Settings Time Project

The first time you turn Sexaginta on, you can set time just roughly. But you don’t have to do even that—the clock is equipped with a radio transceiver tuned to the frequency of Radio Mayak.

Every hour Mayak transmits 6 signals imperceptible to the human ear. The sixth signifies the next hour. Midnight signals last for 100 ms each, and every next hour the sixth signal lasts longer—20 ms at 1 a.m., 40 ms at 2 a.m. and so on till 11 p.m. when the duration is 560 ms.

Sexaginta receives signals in the optimal band and automatically sets correct time.

Radio Mayak maintains Sexaginta’s accuracy

It is 3 p.m. in Moscow and midnight in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky
