Poltava has been mentioned as early as the beginning of the 12th century, yet archaeological research dates the first settlement in the area to year 899. The city gave the world the famous Poltava dumplings, it was the place of Nikolai Gogol’s christening and it was here that American writer Albert Williams came in 1924 to study the mysterious soul of Soviet people. Poltava became truly famous after the battle of 1709, launching rapid growth of the city. A logo emphasizing Poltava’s rich history was created for the city at the studio.
The logo intertwines traditional heraldic symbols, images of historic handicrafts and patterns representing unique local nature and heroic past of the city.
Elements of the logo can be easily combined to create corporate patterns and intricate ornaments.
