Cancer Survivor—How Do You Say It in Russian? contest website
национальныепроекты.рф/унаснетслов
The #унаснетслов project developed as part of the National Projects of Russia framework is aimed at raising public cancer awareness, searching for positive, non-scary language and fighting carcinophobia.
An identity and a website for a contest whose goal is to find a suitable translation for “cancer survivor” in the Russian language were designed at the studio.
A cancer survivor is someone who had cancer, completed initial treatment and no longer has any obvious signs of active disease, or someone who is living with the disease and receiving treatment.
The contest is open to everyone and all submitted ideas will be anonymously posted on the website for open voting. An expert committee will then choose the best suggestion that will become the new equivalent for the concept of a cancer survivor in Russian.
The website contains answers to frequently asked questions and collects stories of people who were able to beat cancer.
