Metro train dedicated to Nizhny Novgorod Oblast
Nizhny Novgorod and Nizhny Novgorod Oblast are an important economic, industrial, scientific, educational and cultural center of Russia with almost a thousand year-long history. It is also a cool tourist destination that only becomes more popular every year.
A train dedicated to five cities and two villages of the Nizhny Novgorod region was designed in the studio. It shows local cultural features and thus attracts even more people to spend the weekend in the “pocket of Russia.”
The exterior of the train conveys the general atmosphere of the region. Inside are carefully selected facts about specific locations.
Passing through the cars, passengers travel the route Nizhny Novgorod — Boldino — Gorodets — Semyonov — Diveyevo — Arzamas — Vyksa. Everyone is greeted by the main landmark, the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin.
The first and main car is dedicated to Nizhny Novgorod. It has the Nizhny Novgorod Fair, the Kremlin, Maxim Gorky and sunsets with a view of the junction of the Oka and the Volga rivers: all the things the capital of the Volga region is known for.
Boldino is introduced through Pushkin’s favorite places.
The section dedicated to Gorodets, one of the region’s most colorful cities, is adorned by lovely platband patterns and Gorodets paintings.
Semyonov is Khokholma painted by true artisans, matryoshka dolls and wooden spoon craft.
The car about Diveyevo which is known for its monastery is covered with amazing finest mosaics from the Cathedral of the Annunciation.
Arzamas is represented by delicate monochrome painting from the Resurrection Cathedral: its decoration was created for over twenty years.
It’s impossible to introduce Vyksa without mentioning street art and industry: the car is decorated with elements of murals and signal coloring.
