Slight chaos, industrial design department, Big & Sweet cocktail—that’s how my first Friday evening in the Studio was coming to an end. One week here was enough to understand that «Here everything is different. Welcome to the world where designers live.» A day here starts at noon and ends in the early morning. People sometimes leave their duties to participate in a massive bikini photo shoot. There is no dress code and everybody lives by the following principles: First, call everyone by name. Second, your workplace is your home—decorate it any way you want as long as you are comfortable with it. Third, and most important, no bullshit.

That’s how everything works here: without smugness and hypocrisy. There is no big boss’s office and no one yells at you at daily briefings. Everybody’s doing one big thing simply because they love it. I’ve spent a month in the Studio and already got used to everything here. Now I can’t imagine that everything can be different.
