The making of the Eldorado price tag templates
Making the first attempt.
Client: Too much information and the text is too small.
Elaborating.
Client: We don’t like it, these price tags lack emotion. They still have too much text. We need the clients to be able to see the deals and differences between models by taking a single look at the price tag.
Removing all the excessive information. Adding some graphics to the icons of similar models.
Client: Still not what we’re after. You need to get rid of all the text.
Drawing pictograms for technical specifications.
Client: Now icons for specs and similar models look the same.
Continuing to experiment. Trying different shapes and background colors for pictograms.
Client: Let’s bring it closer to Eldorado’s corporate style.
Elaborating some more. The client likes the new designs but finds them too bold.
We get the suggestion to unify the specs table and use standard feature pictograms from manufacturers.
The client suggests to remove the chain logo and put the maximum emphasis on the price.
Finalizing and showing the result. Assembling a mini guide on how to use the templates and preparing mock-ups.
