A modern and convenient new school has opened in the city of Chernogolovka near Moscow. The façades for it were designed in the studio.
The new school is located in a green area at the intersection of the Central Street and the Architect Tolmachev Boulevard. On the one side the site borders the Chernogolovka River, and directly opposite the main façade are residential buildings finished in light-colored sand-lime brick.
The façades take into account architecture of the city and features of the school’s surroundings.
According to the plan, the building has a polygonal shape: the main core is adjoined by four study and one administrative buildings with a central entrance through which students and teachers enter the school every day.
The combined airy space of the school building echoes the minimalist Constructivist architecture of the city. Window jambs are painted black, giving the façade a more graphic look.
The main and side façades are decorated with a neat counter relief: their entire surface is covered with a text composition of the word “school” written in over thirty languages.
The entrance block and the stairs are highlighted with a wood finish emphasizing the importance of nature in the life of Chernogolovka.
