First designing a life-size figure of a girl holding an umbrella with a poster behind her.
Next drawing a poster about clouds and raindrops.
Then making the picture less boring and sending it to Tema.
Getting a replay:
“Mmmmm.... Hmmmm...
This is a studio poster advertising umbrellas, right?
I would put asphalt on the background, draw people under the umbrellas, and place a caption next to each picture.”
Asking an illustrator to help with the poster: draw asphalt, rain, pigeons, puddles and so on.
Working on the illustration, trying different variants.
Trying to drawing the illustration in a different style.
Eventually leaving only the most important elements: umbrellas and prices. Rearranging the layout once again: putting umbrellas to the center, and captions—along the edges.
Removing the flare on the asphalt, putting the manhole back and sending the poster to print.
