Starting to come up with ideas. Matzah for toasting?
Moses checking in before the exodus?
A couple of other ideas.
Or maybe a beard with bread crumbs in it (everybody will be eating it anyway)? Moses’ immigration card? Nope, that’s not it. Matzah, Moses and colored eggs make yet another designer loose sleep. She seems to shoot ideas off the top of her head: Easter egg with peyot! Egg plus peyot equals Passover. Or maybe make an egg a circumcision?
No. It’s all very wrong. We need to change our mindset about the bright Jewish holiday. Inspiration comes suddenly.
Designer: Cryptic writing in Hebrew and gentle Easter ornament around. Those who get it, get it.
The art director comes up with a phrase, we give it to a Hebrew expert for proofreading. Not so fast. It turns out you can’t just take a Hebrew sentence and break it up into several lines. Correcting the text, typesetting it beautifully and drawing a neat border.
Chag Sameach!
