The making of the People’s Unity Day poster (2016)
Designer: Long white loaf and brown bread represent the eternal struggle and inevitable unity of tastes of Russian people. So, verse and prose, they came together, as they say. No ice and flame, no stormy weather and granite, were so far apart.
Art director: OK.
Purchasing bread for the shot. Making the first attempt: taking two loafs, cutting in halves and trying to photograph the texture of the bread that we can use to assemble the picture we need. Realizing that this approach is boring and useless, going to the studio’s chef to ask for help. The expert quickly and neatly cuts out the required composition.
Photographing, retouching, sending the image to the typesetter.
